KInectar

Kinectar lets you use your Kinect as a MIDI controller. This tutorial from Kinectar developer (Chris Vik) will show you how to use the basic functions of Kinectar’s main page. You’ll learn how to map your hands to control features in Ableton Live.

Same technique can be used for any software that accepts MIDI (ie. VJ Software). Mac OSX support in the coming days.

For a download link and all the links and information you need to get started, visit http://kinectar.org

Processing.org + vh screen capture + Resolume = Love

For those that have an ongoing relationship with Processing.org and use VJ mixing software (eg. Resolume Avenue) on Windows, question always stands, how to include your live running Processing sketches inside your live set?

One of the workable solutions is use of VH Screen Capure which can be added as source in Resolume which in turn can be set to select any Windowed Screen on your desktop.

Download VH Screen Capture software here:

Summerdayze Melbourne

Melbourne Summerdayze is a perfect way to celebrate the start of the year with a stellar music line up of International and Australian Electronic Artists and producers and mind blowing production, all brought to you by Future Entertainment.
My role for the january 1st 2012 show was to perform video on Turquoise  stage throughout the day on Massive LED screens, which was great and hot experience.

Showcase 002: Chameleon pres Showcase002 for the release of Jamie Stevens – The Fate of the Modern Architect

Jamie Stevens is a name associated with the production of quality dance floor music. As one of the founding members of renowned Australian outfit, Infusion, he has tasted success both locally and around the Globe. Of late, he has embarked on a new course, as a solo artist for prevalent Australian label, Chameleon Recordings. The opportunity with Chameleon has given him the freedom to evolve his trademark sound and be in total control of the final product. After much anticipation, he recently released his debut solo EP; Fate of the Modern Architect. Within days of its release it was already receiving high praise from some the world’s most influential producers with one of the tracks, Stubborn Seasons, currently sitting at #53 on the Beatport techno charts.
