Hey, sometimes you can get nice little surprises. One of my own clips which I had contributed to VJ-oriented online-video-platform to share and remix website – videopong.net has been recently featured on the home page. The clip is free to download as long as you upload some of your own clips, so it adds to the overall pool of video art. Go on, share the fun!
GemQ has come a long way since its inception (Qeve software). Here is an overview of the main features from Cannibal Caniche Festival in Berlin on the 30th April 2010.
This might be of interest to all VJ’s who are looking to share, promote they own work or simply get little inspiration in a field of Live Visual Art/Performance/Experimental. VJTube.net is a new website to the scene (to me anyway) and is a healthy addition to the growing list of similar websites that already out there. Think VJVault.com, Videopong.net, etc. Continue reading »
Over last week-end I had the pleasure to perform visuals as part of Illumination (Cairns) – White Party which was brought by Silver Gem and it had its 10th Anniversary since the inception in 1999. The event is a brain child of Deano & Venus who had put a lot of effort and vision to make and keep making this event reality year after year. I want to thank them dearly for they efforts.
This was my first time to perform at this show, even though I nearly made into the line up for the last year, this was the time. The event itself attracts somewhat diffrent audience to what you’d normally see at outdoor bush events in North Queensland which was a nice change as it brings new crowd to electronic music and arts for people to enjoy.
I was booked to do live vj’ing work on main stage along side Blakey (vj Phrosporous) and a string of local and nation talent with amazing sound, light and lazer rigs to boot. Continue reading »
For last few years my video editing software of choice has been Sony Vegas. Very straight forward and complete software package which can cover large part of your video and audio editing needs.
Recently I have come across an issue which others might stumble upon if they happen to work in Windows environment.
Few weeks ago I tried to open Vegas to do some editing on a few files, yet despite such attempt, launching screen would freeze at “Initializing Audio Engine” section and wouldn’t go any further.
Today I have decided to properly investigate this and allow for some solutions to be presented for those that come across it also.
First and Foremost. Strong chances are that this issues resolves around Internet Explorer 7 or 8 for you as well. If you happen to install new version of IE 7 or 8 or it has been automatically upgraded through Windows Update feature, its a good indication as to why you might be experiencing this. 1. First solution. Revert back to Internet Explorer 6 and it should be back to normal. Do a restart though. A number of people online had similar queries and it seems to be pretty common issue with others. 2. Solution Two. Go to your Control Panel. System Properties (Advanced Tab). Performance Settings. Data Execution Prevention. Tick the radio button for “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those that I select”. Click “Add” and select Vegas.exe (7, from your Program directory Structure. and OK it.
With a bit of luck you will have your Vegas back into action in no time. Hope this will help someone. Comment underneath if it did. Cheers.
LSBeatz Grand Opening was a great success. This morning I had decided to put few of the short clips I filmed from Saturday night night and put them here to see for everyone. Hope you enjoy. The clip doesn’t feature Spiral Soundsystem or Soljah, but let me assure you that sets they played were awesome.
