“It is perfectly perfectly possible for a man to be out of prison, and yet not free. To be under no physical constraint and yet to be psychological captive, compelled to think, feel and act as the representatives of the national state or some private interest within the nation wants him to think feel and act. The nature of psychological compulsion is such that those that act under it or under constraint remain under the impression that they acting on they own initiative. The victim of mind manipulation does not know that he is a victim, to him the walls of his prison are invisible and he believes himself to be free.

That he is not free is apparent only to other people because is servitude is strictly objective.”

Combination of technologies which allow you to bring new additional levels of interactivity into a visual spectrum is among the most important elements that I see will shape up the progress at how we look and interact with visuals. Recently coming across a post blog on Piksel.no have found this particular example which might be of interest to many actively practising multi-media practitioners.

Flick Flock defines the meaning of the body and its linkage to the continuous transformation of the urban place and the way it can construct and deconstruct society. It is reflecting the interconnections of bodies and space, reshaping each other to form such an unbound relationship. Using stereoscopic and ambisonic 3D technology, Flick Flock recreates the digital urban space we are living in to allow us to immersively experience the role of the physical body as a vehicle of expression and knowledge. GetUp is an independent, grass-roots community advocacy organisation giving everyday Australians opportunities to get involved and hold politicians accountable on important issues. Current campaign: CensorDyne comes as a reference to The Government’s test trials on internet censorship and presents its response in a shape of parody piece which is expected to get some air play on the Quantas flights to Canberra frequently commuted by politicians.

LSBeatz Grand Opening was a great success. This morning I had decided to put few of the short clips I filmed from Saturday night night and put them here to see for everyone. Hope you enjoy. The clip doesn’t feature Spiral Soundsystem or Soljah, but let me assure you that sets they played were awesome.

Happy 2009 Everyone!

Well I surely hope that most of you had a lovely time over this festive season and your new years resolution are starting to turn wheels.
This year is a mark of starting something new for me.  This week I have marked upon making a permanent move to Cairns in North Queensland.   Somewhat of a long time coming as I had it playing on my mind for close to 2 years, now it finally came true.   The environment is much better suited from both culturally and spiritual aspects of being here, very well established and progressive electronic scene (which I feel I have become a part of), amazing people, beautiful  surroundings among other very worthwhile reasons which all gave me green lights ahead to finally DO it.

My arrival here coincided with performance at NYE festival called : Infinity & Beyond. Wow and what festival it was. The location was chosen up at Atherton Tableland by Mungalli Falls with established dorm rooms and apartment buildings and other infrustructure which provided to be so useful as mother nature had some other ideas in mind.

As we arrived to the site to the ongoing rain, you left but wonder of the commitment and dedication of people involved in the event.  A bit after myself, Suspect made our way to the stages and were in preparation for our upcoming sets. I came down and have set up equipment and began organising the vision to the projector which after short period of time was running like clockwork.

The first part of the set was alongside dropbear and its always an enjoyable experience as we compliment each other styles and techniques and provide for an interesting combo if visuals that go with the music. After midnight I went of for another 3 hours playing to variety of progressive and psy sounds.
