What started out as a ‘discovery’ compilation in 2008 has now established itself as a musical expedition cutting through the noise of Electro House into something much deeper. The second volume in the series, Progression 2 is an emotive compilation of tracks mixed by Adam K and Hook N Sling.

Driven almost solely by word of mouth, 2008′s Progression spread through the underground club community just as the reign of the super club came to an end. Despite not having been mixed by a headliner, it continues to win new followers over with it’s peerless musical vision 6 months on.

Progression 2 showcases an epic selection of atmospheric tracks and heralds in a new era in the constantly evolving underground club scene. This time around, with two of the scene’s most prominent figures at the helm to mix the album Progression 2 will be taking in a string of special club events across the country.

Adam K, who featured prominently in the first Progression, has returned to mix Disc 1. Known for his blending of Progressive, Electro, Techno, and Tech House, he is one of the sole representatives of the Progression sound, and brings with him a unique approach to mixing, inspired by his time spent totally immersed in all aspects of dance music.

Having spent years composing, producing, and engineering he has collaborated with and remixed numerous world renowned artist including Deadmau5, Tiesto, and Hatiras. More recently Adam has landed numerous Top 10 tracks on Beatport and his latest, “Twilight”, was lauded as Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune in November.

With an impressive collection of hits under his belt already including “The Bump” and “The Best Thing 2008″, Hook N Sling has mixed Disc 2.

Instantly recognised by his richly layered trademark sound, this is not Anthony’s first foray into mixing, having compiled Ministry’s wildly successful gold-selling compilation “Clubbers Guide to 2008″. But he is by no means a safe choice, being known one of the most unpredictable, genre-blending producers to come on the scene in recent years, a title which has lead him to places most only dream about.
Anthony has been placed in inthemix’s Top 5 producers, and has been nominated for an ARIA, amongst numerous other local and international accolades. He has also remixed for other artists including Martijn Ten Velden, Bass Kleph, Stanton Warriors, The Potbelleez, and The Cobra Dukes. And these intelligent club productions continue to forge his notoriety both here and abroad with forthcoming remixes on Germany’s Pickadoll label as well as Roger Sanchez’ stealth imprint.
