Infinity & Beyond
It has been well over a week since any last update on a visual front. Mainly working on Web related projects and putting together few sets for upcoming events. One of these events is worthwhile mentioning about.
Infinity & Beyond. It is a 3 day festival which goes over NYE celebrations taking place up deep North Queensland at Mungalli Falls with amazing line up of International and Domestic and Local talents.

MAUXUAM – [Interchill - ITALY] – live
Mauxuam aka Maurizio Liguori (born in 1965) aka 1210 aka Capt. Kyò, has played & VJ’ed and DJ’ed many different music styles at events in South Africa, India, Australia, Turkey, Macedonia, UK, Portugal, Italy and Spain. He has released on various compilations with Interchill Records, Indica Music and Electronic Soundscapes. With deep roots in afrobeat and psychedelic funk, his style is wide and varied and eludes easy tagging. Over the last 2 years Mauxuam has played live at major festivals and events like the Eclipse in Turkey, Sonica in Italy, Synergy project in London, Waveform and Glade in the UK. He has also collaborated with Interchill artist Ashtech doing the electronics and dubbing for their live shows.
JULES – [Biosine - NNSW]
Jules/Grit is co-owner and DJ of Bio-sine Records, alongside Brett Hender (Foot-e). A Bassplayer with a background in punk,metal and industrial,Jules played in various Sydney bands during the 90′s – it wasn’t untill 2003 and a move to NNSW that he was introduced to Psy-Trance and the outdoor party scene. In 2005 he started Bio-sine records with Brett/Foot-e with the idea of promoting NNSW artist & producers, but that soon morphed into the intention to release tunes from the more dark,stauncher side of progressive. In 2006 he began Djing this style and has played at various events in the NNSW region. These days Jules plays a variety of styles from Dubstep & Minimal to the night time, edgy prog that Biosine have gained a solid reputation for. Jules will be dropping tracks from the new compilation from Biosine Recs – ‘Primordial’.

SENSIENT – [Zenon - MELB]
Zenons’ mission is to expose the psytrance world to a range of fresh and interesting music, and to expose new acts that write music outside the sphere of mainstream psytrance labels. The Zenon sound ranges from dark minimal, to deep tech-trance, to funky minimal, to smooth morning progressive, but always with a psychedelic bent and an increasing emphasis on pure musicality. It steers clear of the generic cheese trance so prevalent in today’s psytrance scene, instead offering deep, intelligent music whilst maintaining the dance floor factor. My own music follows along these lines. I try to absorb the influence of many other musical styles (breaks, glitch, jazz fusion etc.) and incorporate them into my productions. So far i’ve released 3 solo albums plus heaps of tracks on different compilations. I’ve also toured overseas a fair bit, highlights being Voov, Boom, Fusion and Mexico with Son Kite.
GROUCH [Cosmic Conspiracy Recs, NZ]
Grouch is 23yr old Oscar, creating from Wellington, New Zealand. Producing his own tunes across many genre since the age of 16, he has been creating his own electronic vibe within NZ’s Outdoor Dance Party scene for the last 2yrs. Grouch plays a unique style across the board of Trance and Dub, encompassing many different techniques of other electronic genre. He has developed a fast growing following, across NZ and Australia, who readily get on the dance floor and stomp to their hearts content to squelchy deep root connecting basslines.

ONE TASTY MORSEL [Zenon Recs, Cairns] – Lively
OneTastyMorsel is the solo project of 22 year old Paul VanMorsel hailing from the hills of FNQ Australia. The project kicked off in early 2005 after a passion to express his musical views could not be found as an artist within the live band scene. DUNCAN [Plusquam Recs, Cairns] – Lively
Duncan is 21yr old Rhyss Shandiman, from Nth Queensland, Australia. After listening to and Dj’ing trance for a few years, Rhyss got bored of playing other peoples music and started composing. Duncans style consists of a progressive edge to psychedelic trance, with an atmospheric canvas to intelligently manipulated percussion. Rhyss focuses his music specifically on a dancefloor situation, which has achieved him sets at some of the biggest trance events in nth queensland and Northern New South Wales. With other projects such as ‘Legacy’ and ‘The Project’ (with Rhythm Nectar), the duncan project was born mid 2007.

BACKWARDS MAN [Cairns] – lively
Backwards Man is heavily inflluenced by glitch hop, dub, techno and dubstep and he draws inspiration from these styles of music and merges them into a sound that cant be catagorised. His music can be dark and twisted, bouncy, happy and fun or dirty lowdown grinding the ground gear. Already Backwards Man is blowing away the QLD music scene with his production skills and original sound, that is seriously funky, quality dancefloor material. Look out for him if your up in Far North Queensland, and stay tuned because he is set to head down south to spread the love along the east coast.
